About June Wu (Yijun Wu)
June Wu graduated from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee with a Master’s degree in Piano Performance. She has received numerous awards, including the Gold Medal at the Schubert International Music Competition, the Outstanding Musicality Award, and First Place at the Chicago International Music Competition, and has performed in solo and collaborative concerts at Seully Hall and Houston Hall.

Since 2017, June has been teaching piano, earning the admiration of students and parents alike. She focuses on building a solid technical foundation for every student, with special attention to beginners—from basic hand position and rhythm to music theory—guiding them step by step to gain confidence and develop a love for music. Each lesson balances technical training with expressive development, making learning both rigorous and enjoyable.

For advanced students, June provides guidance for RCM exams, competitions, and performances, including auditions at Carnegie Hall. Her students have achieved excellent results in exams and competitions and showcase their yearly progress in the studio’s annual recital, receiving applause and trophies for their accomplishments.

Passionate about music education, June is dedicated to discovering each student’s potential, developing their musical talents, and building their confidence. Whether a beginner or an advanced student, her students not only achieve technical excellence but also learn to express themselves through music, making every lesson and performance a rewarding and inspiring experience.
